I know I’m not the only one who finds it hard to get the perfect salon blow out at home. I wish I knew how to use the round brush and just roll and blow dry away, but I don’t. Nordstrom has a style bar that houses an Anastasia Brow Bar, manicure and pedicure bar and a blow out bar by Blow of New York. They have been featured in Elle Magazine and others. So I decided to give it a try since I needed a wash anyway. Monica was my stylist and was telling me that Blow specializes in blow outs and that I would be hooked. I asked the steps of how they obtain the perfect blow out with volume and softness.
Step 1. She started with the wash using the Blow shampoo and conditioner products.
Step 2. After washing, she used ready set blow express blow dry lotion by Blow Pro to prep for the blow dry
Step 3. She then sectioned my hair into 12 by twisting and clipping
Step 4. Each section was taken one by one by using a boar bristle round brush and dryed one by one
Step 5. After each section was dryed, she then rolled it back up and pinned it
Step 6. Once all the sections are dryed, she then took each part out and this is the end result
I wanted an updo braid, but I had to show off the amazing blow out, so I opted for 2 braids along each side and pinned.
So, Monica was right, I am hooked. This is whole heartedly, the best blow out I’ve had in a while. I have several appointments booked in advanced now. If you’re ever in New York go to Blow or if your local Nordstrom has the style bar, you must try it.
