Another post from our fabulous trip to Las Vegas, but I’m focusing on Ted Baker. My husband is an avid fan of the men’s clothing and of course while we were doing our visit to the shops at Caesars Las Vegas, he had to stop in. I started to browse the women’s fall 2013 collection and I started to see the inspiration they were going for….. A Fab 20’s, Great Gatsby theme. The collection is so pretty, so lady like and as I picked up and stared at some of the items, I couldn’t help but think this is so ‘Daisy’ and something she would have worn in the movie. It’s always such fun when you travel and get to see a full collection than bits and pieces.

As seen by several designers in the latest runway shows such as Marc Jacob, Chanel, Ralph Lauren and Mui Mui, monochrome is here for us to style and wear. It’s simple, yet stylish combination is effortless to achieve, if done correctly. But take the queue from these fabulous designers.

Burberry Prorsum Fall 2013 RTW
Burberry is one of my favorite designers, not only for their iconic tartan pattern, but like each luxury fashion house, they stand out for their classic British style. The trench coat made by Thomas Burberry is what made them famous and to this day has been copied by so many others. Christopher Bailey has really created such a brand for the company and his creative designs are what has made the brand so widely sought after. The Prorsum Fall 2013 RTW is no different, it’s full of latex, animal prints and metallics. The iconic Trench is definitely not missing in the show, from the gorgeous, stunning colors, to the prints. Cara Delevinge and Karli Kloss strut their hot stuff in this amazing collection. How lucky they are. So go ahead, watch the video, enjoy it and below find my favorite pieces out of the collection.

The Bling Ring
Between 2008 and 2009 there was a series of burglaries in The Hollywood Hills CA at homes of celebrities such as Paris Hilton, Orlando Bloom, Lindsay Lohan, Rachel Bilson, Audrina Patridge, Ashley Tisdale, and DJ Paul Oakenfold. These series of burglaries caught the attention because of the high profile victims. Unbeknownst to law enforcement and the media, these burglaries were being committed by a group of teenagers. These teenagers were targeting the homes of celebrities and stealing millions of dollars in cash and belongings. The group included the supposed ring leader Rachel Lee, Nick Prugo, Alexis Neiers, Dana Tamayo, Courtney Ames, Johnny Ajar, and Roy Lopez Jr. The girls targeted the articles of clothing due to the enormously high quality each of the female celebrities had and that they were considered “fashion icons”. The girls were determined to gain the style the celebrities had and considered their burglaries as “shopping”. The teens lived privileged lives and it was considered that the use of drugs were a major component. Sofia Coppola has directed the film “The Bling Ring” chronicling the events of the burglaries. The film is due out Fri Jun 21st and I myself am looking forward to seeing it.
