My new addition!

So, adding new and upcoming boutiques and established ones as well to my posts has become a regular part of my blogging. Boutiques are an intricate part of fashion blogging I believe. They don’t get nearly as much exposure as large department stores do. Plus they keep things special and unique to us buyers. But although, I don’t like when they carry your typical clothing lines that you would normally see at boutiques. Which is why I really like this new boutique in Cameron Park Ca. Cameron Park, is a small town on the way up to the Sierra Nevada. One would not expect to find such an adorable little boutique called Mirror Mirror. Mirror Mirror is a mother daughter duo owned by Dawn McClenter and Nici Dale Mayer. How great is it to be able to work with your mother and vice versa? After watching and talking to them, they are such a great team and work so well with one another. Their story is amazing story to tell. After dealing with the death of Dawns mother from cancer and after Nici being diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lypmhoma but entering remission in October 2012, they decided that they needed something to celebrate life with and share with as mother and daughter together. That’s when Mirror Mirror was born. February 2013 and they have not stopped since. The moment you walk in, you feel like you were transformed to a boutique in Napa Ca. It has a vintage, charm, and cozy ambiance to it and the clothing, shoes and accessories! They’re great. The designers vary such as Big Buddah, Hudson, Joes, Kate Spade, Mary Francis, Poets license shoes, Mos mosh a Danish pant found only on Rodeo Drive Los Angeles, Big star, Eunina, Dear John, Wilt, and Free people. The prices are also outstanding, they have a price range for any pocket book. So my visit today was great, I walked out with some fabu items! Check them out and I’m pretty sure you’ll agree. Follow them at Facebook.com/MirrorMirrorLLC.

Boho Chic Style

I just love the Boho Chic style that has been made famous by celebrities such as Sienna Miller, Kate Moss and Nicole Ritchie. It’s compiled of the Bohemian look mixed with casual chic. It’s a iconic style that will never go out and that can be worn throughout all seasons. But since we’re in the spring/summer season, here are some looks that can be mixed and matched.

Happy Memorial Day

To all of our brave service men who have fought for America’s freedom from the years past to now. I find it takes a rare breed of a man to join any branch of the Military knowing that their lives could be in danger at any point of their time served. What possesses them to want to sign up? There could be many answers, but the one that pops in my head is America, to protect America, the land of the free. I have a personal connection and am rather bias I guess because my nephew signed up for the Army at age 18 5 yrs ago. At the time I wasn’t supportive because I was so worried about him and was rather selfish, but as time went by, I started to realize, “wow, this kid is brave” along with all of the other young kids who want to serve their country and have given their lives for this country. We may not all agree on war and its side effects, but lets all support all of the servicemen that have served and given their lives for our freedom.

Vegas baby

My family and I usually take one or two trips to Las Vegas every year. With two teenage girls it’s kind of hard to keep them happy and keep boredom blues away. This trip was short this time due to the fact they both have school until the 31st of this month. We didn’t get a chance to do as much as we would have liked to do but I think we had enough time to keep them happy.

Our hotel of choice is the Bellagio, it’s a five star hotel with wonderful amenities, great clubs, great rooms, beautiful pool area and just overall classy. I cannot forget to mention the cafe by the pool. They make the best brioche, almond croissants, cinnamon rolls… Actually all of their pastries are fantastic. They also make really good cappuccino’s, Italian sodas, muesli, and more. Not to mention the stunning flower creations in the atrium, it’s amazing how they think of beautiful flower themes.

On our first night, we ate at a terrific Greek restaurant inside of the Cosmopolitan hotel and casino. This place is just so amazing! They offer authentic but yet modern twist to Greek food. With my husband being Greek it takes a lot to impress him and it did the very first time he was there with some friends. They have fresh, whole fish to where you can look upfront at it and choose which kind of fish directly from Greece that you want. You can choose from Sea Bass, Mediterranean Bass, Snapper and more. You can also view the fresh vegetables they have on hand as well.

We chose the Mediterranean Bass, a whole one enough to feed the four of us that is covered in sea salt on the outside, but yet baked to where it its not overly salted in taste. This was possibly the best fish I have ever tasted, I haven’t even made fish that good. For starters we had octopus, Greek salad, and fried eggplant slices… Amazing.

Of course we did shopping, from Tory Burch to Tiffany & Co and I decided which Chanel purse I am purchasing, but it’s a gut wrenching decision between the Chanel and the Louis Vuitton!

All in all, the trip was short, but just taking family trips are what’s important to me. We are a very close family of four and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
